About Rudo MUGWAGWA
Rudo brings a breadth of corporate practice, with a specialized focus on the investment fund sector spanning both offshore and onshore jurisdictions. Her background equips her to adeptly engage with clients, develop comprehensive strategies, and navigate multifaceted legal matters.
During her tenure in London as a private equity associate, Rudo advised financial institutions and fund managers on primary investments across diverse asset classes. Additionally, she assisted on secondary transactions, including GP-led liquidity offerings and portfolio sales. Prior to this, Rudo delved into the alternative investment space in the Cayman Islands, working on fund formations, managing corporate lifecycle matters, and international tax and AML regulatory compliance.
Beyond her corporate endeavors, Rudo has had the opportunity to work as the first Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service One Baltimore for Jobs Project Coordinator under the Baltimore Mayor’s Office, Freddie Gray Grant, overseeing the provision of civil legal services to over 250 work training program trainees. Her contribution led to the successful continuation of the Project.
Rudo’s interests extend beyond the legal realm, encompassing a passion for globe-trotting and a love for boxing. Additionally, she has had the privilege of lending her expertise as an Advisory Board member for The African Perspective Media.
