About Hazvinei MUGWAGWA

Hazvinei has broad cross-functional experience in a variety of roles as legal counsel (private practice and in-house) and in business as a marketing and sales executive in the global biotechnology and nutrition industry. Currently, Hazvinei focuses on advising clients on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, project finance, capital formation and transactions such as venture capital, private equity, or private credit. Hazvinei’s clients include individuals, private funds, emerging businesses, family offices and public companies.

In addition to being an advocate for his clients, navigating transactions with them, and providing them commercially relevant counsel, Hazvinei also looks to lend his knowledge and experience to new entrepreneurs and initiatives that nurture and develop new enterprises. For the last several years, Hazvinei has been a business reviewer for the Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) and more recently became a reviewer with the Maryland Launch Fund, both of which are Maryland state supported initiatives to identify, develop and support emerging business. Being a reviewer requires Hazvinei to continuously engage with multiple aspects of businesses, which is an invaluable capability when advising clients on cross cutting corporate matters and transactions.

Outside of work, Hazvinei relishes spending time with his wife and two kids exploring the world, whether it is a couple day camping trip at one side of the county or driving from Johannesburg to Harare. As an avid soccer fan, Hazvinei loves to follow his favorite team (Arsenal) and also play, although he hasn’t gotten to do that as much as he would like.
